Across the entire world, for both developed and developing countries, the book’s authors study the cost of diseases to the societies in which these occur. The idea is to quantify, as much as possible, what the actual costs are. And also how the diseases might most effectively be fought. To this ends, the various risk factors that lead an individual to catch a disease are looked at. Some of these are due to personal choice, like smoking. Or unsafe sex. Other risk factors tend to be more environmental, where a person’s actions might have less correlation to catching a disease.

One use of the book is for governments to assess how best to spend what are invariably limited resources (like money and skilled people), against which diseases and risk factors.

Medical Coding Quick Study Academic

I just finished a 9-month course in Medical Billing and Coding. Heard about these and ordered 5 i think. They were for medical coding in different areas, medical terminology, medical abbreviations and things like that. I used them ALL the time, and I was shocked that they actually helped me when I was studying for the CPC exam (which I passed on the first try! WEEE!!!) When I first got them and found out how valuable they would be for this course, I showed them to some of my classmates (I had them with me in school everyday) and they got them and 2 passed the course with flying colors and passed the certification exam. The other one passed the course, but barely missed the exam.

If you are looking for any of the quick study guides, they are laminated and totally AWESOME!!!!

This is an great tool for coding class. It’s convenient and much quicker than looking through the textbook! I highly recommend it for anyone in coding.

I thought this was a good tool to use if you need some help with coding. There are so many things to remember that I liked it all on this one sheet.

If you are not a theory theorist; instead you are a practitioner and researcher in health promotion and practice or a learner or student in health area, I highly recommend you to have this book. This is the best book I ever see which explains abstruse health theories and models in such a plain and easily-understand language. It is a very practical, at-hand reference which will help you to understand health behavior theories and apply them in an operable way.

I thought that this book provided an overview of the major theories of health promotion, though I found myself on many occasions needing to go to supplementary materials for more detail.

service was great-the book is not so great but is what my class required,so thanks for getting it to me on time and for a reasonable price

What was it like?

The author manages to mix evidence-based guidelines with practice effectively. This textbook has been revised and updated to prepare the nurse for leadship. This textbook provides the reader with information to equip them with the tools that are required to accomplish NCLEX and to practice as a nurse. This as it states in the book is more than just a text book as it includes NCLEX- style questions and sample resumes. There is also a web link to activate the complete learning experience.

Highlights of this book:

Although written for the nurse in the states, this is extremely relevant to the nurse practicing in the UK. This is focused around the ever changing healthcare setting, and the today’s aspects of patient care. I was particularly reassured to read that patient safety was included. The section headed understanding organisational structures- how can someone lead if there is no understanding as to how the organisation functions, staffing and the issues that need to be managed taking into consideration the variables and factoring this in. The section headed legal and ethical issues were invaluable for the reader. This book equips the manager to manage or the leader to lead. The suggested reading at the end of the chapters equips the nurse to read further into a subject.

Strengths & weaknesses:

This is written for the nurse practising in the states and to prepare them for NCLEX. It is written in the language of the states, but that should not hinder the nurse leading in the UK.
The book is researched and written well and has been revised and updated to ensure this is for today’s leaders in nursing. Each chapter is set out well with realistic exercises and a research perspective.
